Yellow Fields in Surrey

As I mentioned before, the landscape in Surrey has inspired me and my paintings. This Spring the Surrey Hills jolted me out of the Winter grays and into the yellow oranges of sunshine preceding the upcoming Summer. The Color is wonderfully bold and consumed me. The fields of Rapeseed are vast and the farmers here grow the crops for the production of animal feed, vegetable oil and biodiesel. |
London- Beautiful Color Door

On my weekly runs to the Waitrose grocery store I keep seeing this beautiful door located in the parking lot. The door is old and the paint is peeling however the color green is so magnificent I keep thinking about it for inspiration on a painting. The green is so pure, and full of life. It reminds me of the color of green grass or the first buds of leaves on trees in the spring. I decided to take a picture of it to put in my studio for inspiration. The british parking lot attendant thought I was crazy when he saw me photographing the door from several different angles. Now I will see where the inspiration takes me........... |
